Empowering Creativity Through Art in Nebraska City
Through the Empowering Possible Scholarship, several individuals had the opportunity to explore their creativity at Self-Expressions Gallery in Nebraska City. The gallery recently hosted two pottery classes and one ceramics class, inviting participants to connect with their artistic side while engaging with the local art community. These experiences not only enhanced creative skills but also encouraged inclusion and community connection.
Experiences like these help individuals express themselves, learn new skills, and build confidence. The Empowering Possible Scholarship makes opportunities like this possible with your support.
Jaime Gains Freedom with Oxygen Battery Support
For Jaime, enjoying time in the community has become much easier and more meaningful thanks to the support from the Empowering Possible Scholarship. Through the scholarship, Jaime was provided with two additional batteries and two chargers, giving him reliable backup power whenever he needs it.
Before receiving the extra batteries, Jaime often found himself limited in how long he could stay out. His single battery would run low quickly, and the low-battery notification meant cutting outings short. Many times, he had to return to the van to recharge the unit, disrupting the fun and independence of his day.

Rachel’s Adventure
Thanks to donations to the Empower Possible Scholarship fund, Rachel was able to take the trip of a lifetime with her friends to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The scholarship helps individuals create meaningful experiences that might otherwise be out of reach and for Rachel, that meant embarking on a girls’ getaway filled with music, laughter, and adventure.
The trip included a visit to the Country Stampede, where Rachel enjoyed live country music. They also spent time at Dollywood, explored Gatlinburg, and discovered other exciting stops along the way. One highlight of the journey was visiting a raptor recovery center, where the group marveled at the sight of majestic eagles up close.
For Rachel, the most meaningful part was simply being able to spend quality time with her friends on vacation, sharing laughs and making memories that will last a lifetime. Brad’s Husker Adventure Made Possible
Through an Empowering Possible Scholarship from Apace, Brad was able to attend the Nebraska Huskers vs. Cincinnati Bearcats game at GEHA Stadium, an experience he won’t soon forget.
Brad and his staff, Olivia, set out from Lincoln for Kansas City, expecting the usual three-hour drive. But like many other Husker fans on the road that day, their journey stretched into five hours. The excitement in the air was worth every minute. After checking into their hotel, they headed straight to the stadium to soak in the atmosphere of the first Husker game of the season.
For him, being there wasn’t just about football, it was about celebrating a lifelong passion. Brad has been a Husker fan for 34 years, ever since he was a boy watching games with his grandpa. Since then, Brad has made it a goal to attend at least one Husker game each season, cheering on his team with unwavering loyalty.

Empowering Independence at Home
Miranda was able to move into a new apartment that truly fit her needs: a safe, comfortable space she can proudly call home.
Her previous apartment created daily challenges. Some stairs made access difficult, structural issues, and hard floors that increased her risk of falling and getting hurt. Miranda’s grandmother began searching for a place without stairs, hoping to find a safer, more accessible home.
In August, Miranda moved into her new apartment, made possible by support from the Empowering Possible Scholarship, which covered her down payment. Her new home is on one level, with soft carpeting and an accessible bathroom that meets her needs.
This move has given Miranda not only a better living space, but also a greater sense of safety, confidence, and independence.

Empowering Adventure: A Weekend to Remember
Thanks to support from the Apace Foundation and the Empowering Possible Scholarship, roommates Emily, Travis, and Becca enjoyed a fun-filled weekend getaway to Kansas City, an experience full of laughter, exploration, and friendship.
The trio wanted a weekend away from home to see new sights and make lasting memories together. Their adventure included visits to a dinner theater, Lego World, the Fritz Railroad Restaurant, and Sea Life Aquarium. With plenty of walking, sightseeing, and shared smiles, it was a weekend packed with excitement and joy.
This trip was an opportunity for Emily, Travis, and Becca to experience the world beyond their daily routines, strengthen friendships, and build confidence in the community.
