Symposium 2022

Thursday, September 22, the annual Apace Symposium was held in York, Nebraska, at the Holthus Convention Center. Due to the pandemic, this was the first time we had Symposium in almost three years. Everyone was excited to get together and socialize. Over 400 people attended the event, and the excitement was felt throughout the day.

Our emcee, Lon, started the day off with jokes and finished the day the same way. Presenters covered their life stories and interests. Christian shared how he prepares to give presentations; Brielle shared about growing up in Nebraska and her best friend, her dog, Milly. Wynne and Ken took us through a relaxing few minutes of chair yoga. Coach Steg shared about his family and helping to coach his local high school football team. Holly treated us to a video rendition of her performing the Thriller dance; Trey shared his dream of skydiving. Lincoln Dynamics got our blood pumping after lunch with a musical number by Queen. Brianna shared her journey with cochlear implants. Jon told some funny dad jokes, while Zach and Bryce shared their musical abilities. Gisella told us about growing up in Nebraska with her family.

Thank you to all the presenters and volunteers who made the day possible. We can’t wait for Symposium 2023.
