Staff Spotlight: Paige Maschmann

Paige Maschmann is a Community Support Professional for Apace Fairbury. She is celebrating her 1-year anniversary next month. Paige says the three words that best describe working for Apace are rewarding, supportive, and engaging.

What does a normal day look like for you?

My “normal day” varies from day to day. I work 8 am – 4 pm at the Employment Training Center. Some days I job coach, other days I take my group out into the community after daily programs are ran. Other times I assist in the residential houses.

Why do you love what you do?

I love making a difference in someone’s life.

What’s a favorite moment you’ve had with a person you support?

Back in September, I got to take a person to Lake Wanahoo for a pontoon boat ride and picnic.

Tell us about a time you were proud of an individual you serve?

A person I support found a 100-dollar bill and turned it into me, I was so proud of her honesty.

When Paige isn’t working, she likes to spend time with her sassy toddler, family, and friends. Her favorite restaurant is Texas Roadhouse, and she could eat pizza every day for the rest of her life. If she wasn’t living in Nebraska she would be anywhere with a beach.
