Ryan is a lifelong resident of Stromsburg, proudly known as the “Swede Capital of Nebraska,” and remains deeply connected to his community. Each year, Ryan looks forward to attending the annual Swedish Festival with his family and enjoys encouraging friends to join in the celebration. Ryan began receiving services from Apace shortly after graduating from high school and currently participates two days a week. Since starting in 2018, he has embraced many new experiences and opportunities for growth. In June 2022, with support from Vocational Rehabilitation, Ryan took an important step toward independence by becoming an independent contractor. He now provides cleaning services at Cherry Creek Apartments in Columbus and East View Apartments in Schuyler. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys playing video games and spending time with friends. He shares that he is very happy with his schedule, employment, and home life, reflecting a balanced and fulfilling routine.
