Lincoln, NE – December 6 – The LEAP Day Center is thrilled to announce the recipient of the annual Nicholas Liechti Memorial Award, which recognizes one staff member for exceptional dedication, compassion, and leadership. Established by Nick’s family, the award celebrates his inspiring legacy and honors staff members who go above and beyond in their roles.
Nicholas Liechti inspired everyone around him and left a lasting impact on the LEAP community. This year’s award was presented to James Goni, who exemplifies the values of Apace through their outstanding work. James consistently demonstrates creativity and an unwavering commitment to supporting and enriching the lives of the people he supports.
“This award is a testament to his memory and the exceptional efforts of our staff,” said Callie Kacvinsky, Community Support Coordinator. James works one-on-one with a young man, taking trips to the YMCA, going to Omaha, and helping him stay involved with the community.
