This summer, Hope experienced an unforgettable trip to Washington, D.C., filled with exploration, learning, and new experiences. She visited many of the nation’s most iconic landmarks, including the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the U.S. Capitol, and the White House. Hope also explored several Smithsonian museums, including the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and took time to reflect at the Jefferson and Eisenhower Memorials. Beyond the city’s historic sites, Hope enjoyed the natural beauty of the Potomac River and embraced the area’s vibrant culture by sampling a variety of local foods. This trip provided meaningful opportunities for growth, independence, and discovery. Hope returned home with lasting memories and a deeper connection to the history and culture of our nation.
