Giving back has always been an important part of Apace, with a long-standing tradition of adopting at least one family during the holidays each year. In December 2024, when a last-minute request to adopt an additional family could not be fulfilled, Apace challenged itself to do more. That moment sparked the creation of a new holiday giving fundraiser in 2025, designed to expand our impact and support more families in the community. Throughout the year, people supported by Apace and staff worked side by side to host monthly fundraising events, from shared lunches to sweet afternoon treats. Thanks to the talents of our cooks and bakers, each event offered something new, one favorite being a sundae bar with all the toppings. Through these efforts, Apace was able to purchase gifts for 24 local children in its first year. This initiative reflects Apace’s mission to promote dignity, inclusion, and community responsibility, and highlights what is possible when people come together with a shared purpose.
