On October 23, Apace celebrated the completion of our newest residential home in Fairbury with an open house. This open house was the first chance for community members and future residents to see the end of a project that took nearly a year to complete.
“Generally in the past we would buy a home and hope it was accessible, and that’s incredibly difficult to do. With this home, every facet was considered,” Apace CEO Matt Kasik said. “ We wanted to build a house that would last for years and years, where folks would find many years of joy and life without having to move around. To have it all together like this is really nice.”
The new building features carefully crafted components designed with disabilities in mind and space for three residents and a live-in employee. This house is the second of its kind, hopefully with many more to come!
